CLEANING

• WASH both sides by hand with cloth and regular dish soap.

• DRY completely with clean cloth and let it sit out to dry on all sides.

• We recommend NOT submerging your board in water to let it soak.

• We recommend NOT placing your board in the dishwasher as hot water and detergent can cause your board to warp and crack.

• You should AVOID dishwasher detergent as this will strip the oil and wax conditioner.

 

CONDITIONING YOUR BOARD

• APPLY generous dabs of Wood & Board Satin to your board with hand or cloth.  Rub on all sides (top, bottom, sides and grooves) in a circular motion until wood is generously coated.

• DRY your board by setting it aside overnight for the best treatment benefit.

  • Wood and Board Conditioner is made from Food Grade Mineral Oil and Bees Wax.

  • Treating your board can be done in the first week of receiving your board.

  • Conditioning your board regularly repels food particles and liquids.  Also Protects against staining, warping and cracking.

• WIPE or BUFF your board with a soft towel to create a satiny moisture barrier.

• APPLY additional treatments to any visible “dry” spots. You cannot condition as you cannot do this too much.

• STORE your board flat (if possible) in a dry area away from extreme hot or cold temperatures.

• DISPLAY your board whenever possible, keep in mind that it should not sit in direct sunlight as this can cause the woods’ natural color to fade.

• REPEAT as often as needed to prevent warping, allowing you to maintain a beautiful board to enjoy for years to come.
